The 2008 Olympic Torch Relay takes place from March 25 to August 8, 2008. At first the torch will get lit by the sun rays at a special ceremony in Olympia/Greece. Afterwards it is brought to Beijing to start a journey through the whole world. Most of the time the torch is carried by runners.
